Hello, barbara, and a warm welcome to you again. I was so pleased to see the butterflies here today. I had almost given up hope that they would appear this year after all the rain we have had during the summer. Usually we have many of the different kinds fluttering around, but, though not quite so many as in previous years, I was, nevertheless, just as excited :)
Good morning, Marie, and welcome to our little corner of paradise. Thank you for the compliments :)
Thank you for introducing yourself, crafty green poet. You are most welcome too. It was great fun doing the video, in spite of all the noise surrounding me yesterday :)
I watched the video from the Garden Voices site and had to jump over here to find out the name of the flowers. Just wonderful to see the visitors your have.

It does look like that they have all been waiting and once the conditions have been right all appeared, good job that your Inula dasies are open to give them some food.
Wind through the barley,
The song of the breeze,
Ephemeral poppies,
The tracery of trees,
Barleycorn – Magic!
A feast for the eyes.
Our little corner of paradise.
In 1990, as we were driving through a little village, I noticed a quaint old barn with a corrugated roof, and a newly-built house adjacent to it. They were standing on a large plot of land, full of pernicious weeds - a corner of a farmer's field, in fact. Then we saw the "For Sale" sign. Four months later we moved in and decided to create a garden for wildlife.

Wooow, such an amount of beautiful butterflies on one plant! And you were just there at the right time to film them. Wonderful!

Hi, Wildlife Gardener
Wow - what a fantastic piece of wildlife film! You must be delighted to see them all again - better late than not at all.
Lovely photos too - great to see the varieties this plant attracts! Thanks for sharing :-)

A warm welcome to you, Mark. I was so glad the flower-heads hadn't gone over, as they had been open in full flower for a few weeks at that point :)
Lovely photos, yellow flowers are just so happy!
Good morning to you, iowa gardening woman. Lovely to see you again. I agree, the yellows are sunshine flowers :)
Wow! That just made my day. Thank you for your wonderful invitation W.G.
